Good Nature Organic Broccoli is an extremely healthful member of the cabbage family and by many is considered a nutrient dense superfood. It is rich in the essential anti-oxidants betacarotene, an array of B vitamins including folate (B9), vitamin K and vitamin C, a half cup of broccoli provides 85% RDA of the latter. An excellent source of fibre it also offers the minerals iron, potassium, calcium, selenium and magnesium. It is however important to note that these and water soluble vitamins are destroyed when the vegetable is overcooked. So it is best eaten raw, blanched, steamed or stir-fried.
